Registration Details

Participants paying by credit card must register using the online registration system. If you are paying by check or Purchase Order, you must download and print the registration form, and mail in your registration with payment to the address provided on the printable registration form. Registrations will not be processed without payment.

Participant Registration Deadlines

The Early-Bird Registration rate has been EXTENDED through January 16. Regular rates will apply after January 17.

Speaker Registration Details

All speakers and moderators will be required to register and pay a significantly reduced fee to participate in the conference. The LGC will provide the necessary registration access codes directly to each confirmed speaker and moderator. Speakers and moderators MUST use the information that we provide them to register for the conference through the online registration system.

Speakers will also be required to provide a brief biography and copy of their PowerPoint presentation (in pdf format) through the online registration system.

Speakers and moderators must register by 12/2/16.

Sponsor Registration Details

Sponsoring organizations, agencies and companies may receive complimentary conference registration as part of their sponsorship benefits. If applicable, the LGC’s main point of contact with each sponsor will receive a unique access code from the LGC, for using any complimentary sponsors registrations. The LGC point of contact with each sponsor will be responsible for deciding who will be able to use the complimentary registrations.

Those using complimentary sponsor registrations will need to use the online registration system. The access codes provided to each eligible sponsor are unique and registrations per sponsor are limited, and should not be shared with others. Sponsor codes do not cover conference addons such as tours or workshops.

Scholarship Recipient Registration Details

Scholarship recipients who have received an official award confirmation email from the LGC confirming their scholarship will be required to register using the online registration system. Each scholarship recipient will be provided a unique link and access code to use to facilitate their registration, and should not be shared with others. If you have received a scholarship and determine that you are no longer able to attend, please contact the scholarship administrator indicated in your award letter immediately. Scholarships are not automatically transferrable.

TAX Identification Number

The LGC’s federal tax ID number is 94-2791699.

The full (3-day) conference registration fee includes

  • Access to all plenaries, breakouts, workshops and trainings in the main conference program (February 2-4, 2017)
  • Conference meals and refreshment breaks
  • Name badge, conference attendees list, and printed program booklet

Meals and breaks provided during the conference include

  • Thursday (2/2) — Coffee breaks and networking reception (LUNCH AND DINNER ARE NOT INCLUDED)
  • Friday (2/3) — Continental breakfast and coffee breaks (LUNCH & DINNER ARE NOT INCLUDED)
  • Saturday (2/4) — Continental breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks

LGC Membership Discount

Join the LGC now and receive a discount on registration for this conference! This discount applies only to the public/nonprofit and private sector “full conference rates.” More details on LGC Membership benefits. LGC Members receive $25 off the early bird an regular three-day conference registration fees.

Group Rates & Other Discounts

Group Discount

A discount of $25 off the registration will be offered to organizations, agencies and companies that are sending five or more participants to the conference. This discount applies only to the public/nonprofit and private sector “full conference rates.” To take advantage of these group rates, all qualifying registrations must be received at the same time with payment.

Discounts for Planning Committee Members

All official Local and National Planning Committee members will receive a 5% discount on both 1-day and 3-day conference registrations. This discount extends to everyone in your organization and your constituency.

Once registration launches, we will be sending out the appropriate discount codes to be used, to each Committee Member. [Please note: The discount does not apply to already reduced speaker or college student registration fees, cannot be used in combination with group discounts, or be applied to tour or other special event fees.]

Discount for Promotional Partners

All official Promotional Partners will receive a 5% discount discount on both 1-day and 3-day conference registrations. This discount extends to everyone in your organization AND your constituency.

Once registration launches, we will be sending out the appropriate discount codes to be used, to each official Promotional Partner organization. [Please note: The discount does not apply to already reduced speaker or college-student registration fees, cannot be used in combination with group discounts, or be applied to tour or other special event fees.]

Refund Policies

Refund requests will be honored if received in writing by the January 13, 2017 registration deadline. All refunds are subject to a $100 processing fee. Participants may cancel their registration themselves in the online registration system, though their cancellation will be pending until approved by the LGC. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method used at time of registration.

After January 13, NO REFUNDS will be offered.

Should a participant need to cancel their registration after the January 13 registration deadline (for whatever reason), they may replace themselves in the online registration system so long as this is done by January 20.

After January 20, should you need to cancel and replace yourself (send a substitute if you can no longer attend), you must contact the conference organizers via email with the replacement contact information: kplatte@lgc.org or mkwarren@lgc.org.
