Airport Transportation

Taxi:

The distance from Baltimore/Washington International Airport to the Hilton Baltimore is approximately 10 miles. The estimated cab fare is $27 from the airport to the hotel.

Super Shuttle:

Super shuttle one way and round trip fairs to and from Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) and the Hilton Baltimore. The current one-way cost is $15 per passenger. Visit http://www.supershuttle.com/default.aspx?GC=US7CY to book your trip.

BWI to Baltimore: $1.00 USD off one-way and $3.00 USD off round-trip

It is advised that you download the check-in procedures in advance of arriving at the airport to help you plan your SuperShuttle trip, and to help you locate the nearest SuperShuttle customer service booth/kiosk located at the main terminal-baggage claim on level 5. The SuperShuttle counter is to the right when at the top of the escalators from the train.

Light Rail at Camden Yards with Hilton backgroundThe closest light rail stop to the Baltimore Hilton Hotel is the “Convention Center stop” on the corner of Pratt St. and S. Howard St., one block from the hotel.

The light rail operates ever 10 to 15 minutes, depending on peak hours, and the trip takes approximately 40 minutes.

Maryland Transportation Administration (MTA)

Fares on Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) buses and light rail trains are $1.60 one-way, $3.50 for day passes, and $16.50 for weekly passes.

Light rail service to/from BWI Airport is available from 5:00 am to 12:00 am on weekdays, 6:00 am to 12:00 am on Saturdays and 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on Sundays. You can find a full schedule at http://mta.maryland.gov/sites/default/files/LIGHT-RAIL-FEB2014WEB.pdf

Free Transit Passes

The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) and its Modal Agency Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) are generously providing complimentary weekly transit passes for all New Partners for Smart Growth Conference attendees.

The passes are valid January 25 through January 31 for use on all MTA busses, subways, and light rails.  Participants will be able to pick up their free passes when they check in during onsite conference registration hours at the Baltimore Hilton Inner Harbor Hotel. More details will be included in participant confirmation material sent out in early January 2015.

Baltimore Water Taxi

The Baltimore Water Taxi is available within a short walk (15 minutes) from the hotel. This unique form of transportation visits a number of popular stops throughout the Baltimore Harbor area. Amtrak
For travel by Amtrak, take your local train to Baltimore Penn Station. Local commuter rail is available every 30 minutes from Penn Station to “Convention Center Stop” on the corner of Pratt St. and S. Howard St.
